A Note on Content

November 7, 2017

I’ve had several requests over the past couple days for content regarding last weekend’s game against Minnesota.

And I have bad news.

I haven’t watched the Minnesota game yet. I was busy all day and night on Saturday, and there was more to come on Sunday. I can’t stress enough that yours truly is a football coach. This is my busiest time of the year, and somehow I still manage to write content and get stuff out there most days. I can almost guarantee you that no other blog out there is run by someone who works a full-time job, coaches high school football, and still finds time to put out content every day. I write on my lunch hour, before the crack of dawn, and after most people are in bed.

Believe me when I say that if I can write, I will write. If something doesn’t get posted, it’s not because I’ve forgotten or let it go by the wayside due to laziness. I’m sorry for not posting a game recap and such, but altogether, that’s probably about 4-5 hours of work that I simply don’t have time for this week.

Absolutely no worries. Just know. It is missed. Really like to compare with what you saw, with what I think.
Just don’t miss the Wis and OSU game!!!

    Man I get it.
I appreciate what you do. I was one of the people who kept thinking, “where the hell is the game recap and all of the other info that I get for FREE from TTB?”. I get up before the rest of my family does on Sunday mornings, make a pot of coffee, and start reading my favorite Michigan blogs. I feel like I always agree more with your analysis than the Mgo one, SB Nation and Reddit (except for Michael Cox. What?). I was surprised when there was no game analysis/content this week. I have been clicking relentlessly for the past few days to get it, so there’s some clicks for you, FWIW. But, back to the main point: I get it. Do what you can do.
I still think that Michigan’s prolific run game this last Saturday had more to do with a tired, beaten and bad Minnesota team than anything that our offense fixed or turned around since Penn State. I expect that it will certainly not happen against our final 2 opponents.
    I’ll eagerly await your analysis.

I think a lot of us have the same morning routine!

As for the run game, I recall watching us run it down the throat of PennSt last year and thinking the same thing… Then Iowa happened

No need to apologize. You’ve been putting out tons of high quality content on a regular basis for years, essentially by yourself, and I’m sure at times when you had lots of other things on your plate. No one reasonable should mind those rare occasions when the other aspects of your life take priority.

What most everyone else has said: It’s OK. Just don’t mess up the annual countdown next year! Kidding …

Most everyone is sympathetic, and wouldn’t be here if they didn’t enjoy the site. I know you want to keep some anonymity, but it would be fun if we had the opportunity to cheer you and your team on.

A couple of general site thoughts:

The message board is another avenue of getting discussion out there and is underutilized. Some of the voices/posts/ last posts time can be confusing. But thank you for the moderation aspect that keeps the spam down.

The blog/homepage exchange of info is often very good. I will admit that when you are busy and do not post as much it is a bit disappointing. I don’t think I am the only one who looks forward to your part in the call and echo amongst us football fanatics.

I try to take each post discreetly and read it for it’s value. It is easy to see creative or even disparate logic amongst our posters. Generally these posts are respectful as they should be.

Sometimes I see comments here by others I know from other sites that I have learned to respect and enjoy. Is there a member list accessible to us?

    Good site!

All good Thunder. Not like we’re paying a monthly for your site. It’s still the 1st one I goto regardless. The fact that I’m bummed out from not having your weekly assessment is a tribute to your proficiency in your field. Maybe you should be the OC for us next year….

I think you should take it as a complement that your reactions were missed. Good luck on the field!
