This is an excellent, insightful piece from Austin Meek of The Athletic on 2021 quarterback J.J. McCarthy (LINK).

Former Michigan S&C coach and Arkansas defensive end Tank Wright is headed to Army (LINK). Remember that he was elevated to “coach” when Chris Partridge left for a short time before Bob Shoop was hired.

Visitors: March 20-22, 2020

Hutto (TX) Hutton DE Landyn Watson (image via Twitter)

NOTE: I keep lists several weeks ahead of time, so these players were scheduled to visit Michigan. Due to the coronavirus, these visits are obviously not happening, but it still shows who is/was interested in the Wolverines.

2021

Landyn Watson – DE – Hutto (TX) Hutto: Watson is a 6’3″, 235 lb. prospect with offers from Arkansas, Michigan, Texas Tech, and Virginia Tech. He’s a 4-star, the #16 weakside end, and #294 overall. He has 50% of crystal balls for LSU, but the Tigers don’t seem to be a serious option right now.

Jah-mal Williams – DE – Fort Lauderdale (FL) Cardinal Gibbons: Williams is a 6’4″, 215-pounder whose only offer I know of comes from the Wolverines.
