This is the year where the player development skills of Harbaugh and his staff will really be tested. Any staff can get players ready to start in 3 or 4 years, but this year, our coaches will have to do it in 2 for most positions. We played a lot of freshmen last year, but only Evans and Gary contributed significantly. This year, at least a dozen 2nd or even 1st year guys are probably going to be slotted into starting roles from day 1.
