I thought David Reese looked like a really good LB against us for the little bit I paid attention to him.

I also think that he would likely be a backup in the defense we ran on Saturday, maybe even interchangeable with Gil.

Sometimes it all works out for everybody.

Reese made the right decision for all parties concerned. He wanted to play lb. I wish he was with UM as a fullback but such is life. Wish him well and he obviously is a heck of a football player.

What does the comment about Kingston Davis mean? “NOT at Independence Comm College….”

Thunder, had he stuck with his commitment do you think Devery Hamilton would be our starting right tackle right now? Perhaps the most impactful recent decommitment?

Excellent question, and I’ve been wondering the same. He’s not starting for Stanford, but their OL us pretty good

Hamilton was clearly a big loss although if UM is running left maybe having Cole over there is best for the OL.

I don’t really know, because I haven’t seen him play in college. Based on what I saw of him in high school, I would say he would be ahead of Bushell-Beatty, Runyan, and Ulizio, but I’ve seen all those guys in action over the past year or two.

One note on Antwaine Richardson: he was injured in the second half, and it was one of those scary incidents where they had to immobilize him and cart him off on a stretcher. The sideline reporter said players were upset and crying. Fortunately, the broadcast team said later in the game that Richardson was moving his extremities and so forth, so
I think he wound up being okay, but I haven’t followed up.
