TRANSFERS

WR Freddy Canteen (Notre Dame): Canteen did not make a catch in Saturday’s 49-20 win over Boston College, but he did suffer a torn labrum, which will put him out for the rest of the season.

LB Ross Douglas (Rutgers): Douglas made 2 tackles in Rutgers’s 65-0 demolishing of Morgan State. Wow, maybe Rutgers is actually really good this year.

QB Shane Morris (CMU): Morris fell back to Earth this week with a 23/46 performance for 277 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. He’s thrown for 8 TDs and 3 INTs this year and has a 134.75 passer efficiency rating.

FORMER COMMITMENTS

TE Chris Clark (Pitt): Clark made 1 catch for 7 yards in Pitt’s 59-21 loss to Oklahoma State. That’s Clark’s first collegiate reception.

CB Shaun Crawford (Notre Dame): Crawford made 2 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 1 pass breakup in a 49-20 victory over Boston College.

RB A.J. Dillon (Boston College): Dillon had 16 carries for 58 yards in a 49-20 plastering from Notre Dame.

LB Dele’ Harding (Illinois): Harding made 6 tackles in a 47-23 loss to South Florida.

RB Damien Harris (Alabama): Harris had 11 carries for 53 yards and 2 catches for 25 yards in a 41-23 win over Colorado State.

LB David Reese (Florida): Reese made 7 tackles and 1 interception, which he returned 4 yards, in a thrilling 26-20 win over Tennessee. The Gators won on a Hail Mary with no time left.

DE Darian Roseboro (N.C. State): Roseboro made 9 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 0.5 sacks in a 49-16 win over FCS Furman.

QB Victor Viramontes (Riverside C.C.): Viramontes, who transferred out of Cal this past summer, started at quarterback for the first time this past week. He was 13/23 for 119 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions while taking 4 sacks; however, he also ran 23 times for 146 yards and 3 touchdowns, and Riverside won by a score of 28-26. So far he has 38 carries for 338 yards and 6 touchdowns in three games.

DE Rashad Weaver (Pitt): Weaver made 4 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and 1 sack in a 59-21 loss to Oklahoma State.

FORMER COACHES

Head coach Rich Rodriguez (Arizona): Rodriguez’s Wildcats played at UTEP and won by a score of 63-16. Quarterback Brandon Dawkins was 18/21 for 153 yards and 3 touchdowns, and he ran 14 times for 133 yards and 3 touchdowns.

    Typo … I doubt Rutgers demolished themselves. 🙂

    Rutgers beat Howard 52-14 last year. Maybe Morgan State is better?
