An interesting note about regional recruiting and how that impacts Michigan. I took a quick look through both teams rosters, the total number of players from the midwest was (I might have missed 1 or 2):
Michigan 2
Ohio 1
Minnesota 1
Pennsylvania 1
I am pretty sure the ones from Michigan were walk-ons. With Georgia and Ohio State becoming recruiting powerhouses it seems like we might be seeing an era of college football that looks a bit more like the wealth distribution in our society.
What an incredible football game. So many freshman… It is always painful to see the kids Michigan misses on make a big impact somewhere else.
