The real stories are coming out now.

1) Despite Dantonio’s silly tweet about Copeland not being kicked off the team. That is totally false. When the kid got hurt he started to skip class. Academic casualty as well as issues with “accountability issues – weed.”

2) Cassius Peat was told not to return because he was not the right culture fit. MSU made it clear to him that he did not meet their expectations.

3) Blackwell did in fact “interfered” with the investigation and he did ask the players to delete evidence.

4) Every player must leave their cell phones in a box at the door before entering any of the athletic facilities. No more distractions.

Just received word that one more will in fact transfer. Who is keeping track? It will be announced in the next couple of weeks.

Is this one of the two DEs that were expected to be potentially on the way out already or someone different?

Thanks for the info. I thought it was hilarious when Peat was “visiting” campus this past winter. He was already enrolled previously so what was the purpose of the “visit”? To help him better decide where to go? Or to party? This ranks up there with Ed Davis taking it to the very limit to graduate in order to get his sixth year of eligibility. I guess he was on the Van Wilder plan and really had to fight to get those last few credits through even though he had been on campus for over five years.

I don’t know why Dantonio would deny that Copeland was leaving the team when he was in fact leaving the team. It doesn’t make any sense, and if you lie about something like that – which becomes public a day or two later – then what else are you lying about?

I wonder why Sam Webb and others are defending Blackwell so much when there are news reports – not just message board rumors – that Blackwell was escorted out in handcuffs. Police generally don’t cuff you and walk you out of a facility for no reason.
