McKeesport (PA) McKeesport safety Khaleke Hudson committed to Michigan on Wednesday. He chose the Wolverines over offers from Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State, Pitt, UCLA, West Virginia, and Wisconsin, among others.

I posted a scouting report last Thursday with most of the relevant information (LINK).
Hudson earned a Michigan offer relatively late in the recruiting cycle late last fall, but the Wolverines jumped up toward the top of his list immediately. He took an official visit to Michigan a couple weekends ago, and his Penn State official visit this past weekend did not sway him enough.
I think Hudson will be a nickel corner for Michigan. He’s 5’11” and 205 lbs., which is roughly the same size as Jabrill Peppers. Hudson isn’t quite on the same level of Peppers as an athlete, but they have similar frames and a similar array of skill sets. If he does indeed end up at nickel corner, he could feasibly replace Peppers as soon as Peppers leaves for the NFL. Hudson could also play running back at the next level, and I wouldn’t be opposed to him getting a shot on offense if the coaching staff wants him there.
Hudson is Michigan’s 26th commit in the 2016 class. He is the third defensive back, joining safety Josh Metellus and cornerback David Long, Jr. He’s the first Michigan player to come from McKeesport (PA) McKeesport.

I notice you don’t consider Gil as a DB recruit. Is that because you think he is a LB or know something about his standing in the class?

Gil has said that Michigan wants him playing linebacker. He’s already added about 15 lbs. in preparation.
