Camp Hill (PA) Camp Hill quarterback Michael Shuster committed to Michigan as a preferred walk-on on Thursday. Normally, I don’t make individual posts for preferred walk-ons, but since he’s a quarterback, I’ll make a quick exception.

Shuster is a 6’3″, 200-pounder who is fifth all-time in Pennsylvania’s career passing yardage (8,728) and touchdowns (101). This year he has thrown for 1,700 yards and 26 touchdowns.
For a preferred walk-on type, Shuster has a nice set of skills. He has good size and very good mechanics. He’s not a great athlete and doesn’t have an extremely strong arm, but if he did have those things, he would be a scholarship player and we wouldn’t be talking about him here. He also has good field awareness and should, at the very least, be a decent scout team quarterback.
