Compete – yes. Win – no. The best case scenario for Michigan is a red-shirt for Ruiz. While I don’t think a red-shirt is likely, at the very least we can hope Ruiz is only needed in a backup role because freshman linemen are almost never very good, even when they end up being 1st round NFL picks eventually.

We should all be hoping Kugler takes a big step forward and viable options at tackle emerge so that Ruiz can wait in the wings.

I think the best case scenario is for Ruiz to play as a backup this year, since he’s almost guaranteed to start in 2018. I’d want him to get some live game action.

I’d like to see Ruiz and maybe one other offensive lineman step in and take it. I’m in favor of getting the pain over with. The freshman Drevno started with at USC were looking pretty good late in the season this year. I’m thinking they were mostly red shirt freshmen, but am not invested enough to check. Still, I say let’s get beat up now and return the favor sooner rather than later.

That last girl has a spectacular body. I wonder what her face is like? I’d look, but my eyeballs refuse to scroll up.

Her face isn’t anything spectacular, really, but nobody’s perfect.

I’m gonna have to take your word for it.

I believe Drevno started 3 true freshmen during his final season at USC in 2014.

I don’t think it’s about a set number of snaps as it’s about a set number of practices. I mean, in game performance can help accelerate development but most of this is happening in practice.

In other words, the pain can be avoided or at least limited. The payoff for that is getting a guy for his 5th year. At OC that’s especially beneficial because there’s not a lot of early NFL entrants at the position.
