Pitt would be a nice landing spot for Weaver. Good school and Narduzzi knows what he is doing on DL it seems.

If Gary surprises and ends up at Clemson, Michigan will wish it had held onto Weaver, just like the Swenson/Hamilton situation.

Rashan Gary, Hill, Nordin, and Vicious Vic. I wonder how Harbaugh convinced Vic to come back, since the chance of him playing QB is pretty low at this point.

Sounds like Nate Johnson is coming back into the fold, and Dytarious Johnson probably will leave it. That would get us to 29? I wonder what additional shake-ups we will see.

And I feel bad about (probably) losing out on Jordan Fuller, Connor Murphy, Boss Tagaloa, Devin Asiasi, and Pie Young… We won’t win every recruiting battle. But I do really wanted these guys as well.

agreed, thats a nice group of prospects theyll likely miss out on and im sure most would like to see the majority of them somehow end up blue. id especially like to see fuller (like many positions, you can never have enough big, athletic DB prospects on roster) and the 2 cali kids in winged helmets but cant win them all.

i dont see boss tagaloa as the best prospect from that grouping but hed be a huge signing for m given his versatility. he could potentially play along the interior OL or DL (2 of the more valuable areas of a team) depending on how the coaches handle his development and thats a huge asset. given the lack of depth at OL and DL following 2017, itd be significant to have another athletic 300 pounder in the mix and competing

I don’t think Tagaloa is the best prospect on the OL or the DL (if Gary commits), but I do like him. I feel like he fits a little better on offense, but I think he wants to play on defense.

It also looks like Michigan is making a late push for OT Alaric Jackson (3-star, Detroit) who was slotted to go to Iowa. We need OTs and this might be a good move, though this would take away a spot from other recruits obviously.

Ah. Thunder has Alaric Jackson going to Michigan. That would bring us to 30 commits.

I think Jackson would take the spot of Hamilton, so we’d be back to where we were last week, except with a lower-rated recruit at OT.

I am curious if you think Alaric Jackson would be a downgrade. I will wait for the commit post.

I don’t think Jackson is 6’7″. If he is, then the 6’6″ listed Mike Jacobs is 6’8″. Perspective maybe. The hidden good new here is that there are no offensive linemen at Renaissance High going to bed hungry.

In any event, i like him over Swenson, Hamilton is a loss.

I really think i do like the big, greek kid from Virginia better than all three. He really likes to hit people. Makes me smile.
