Brought back memories of Dallas Cowboy “Bullet Bob” Hayes – only one to win an Olympic Gold Medal and a Super Bowl ring.

    Nice………..INTJohn

      Bob Hayes… yes!

I am just old enough to say I watched his performance on an old tiny black and white TV in the Olympics coverage. Then on to Dallas where it was just a matter of time before they called for “the bomb” and Don Meredith chucked the ball as far as he could. Defenses had to adjust, get physical at the line. and play zone coverages for the first time.

Hayes wasn’t anywhere near a Jerry Rice for sure and truthfully I’d go with Bo Jackson, but he was deserving when he made it in HoF.

And they’re doing that in full pads and gear. Amazing.
