Bummed for Hurst as long as he really is healthy. He sure should be because he was cleared to play for us. I figured him to probably go second round.

Mason Cole, Hill and McCray about as expected. Keeping Bosch in the list feels like padding our stats even if I admit I didn’t want him to leave the team.

I can understand Hurst slipping out of the first and second rounds. But 5th? Holy smokes the Raiders should get an A+ for that pick.

Yeah, the risk/reward there is unbelievable. When you compare that to something like the Josh Allen pick you just shake your head.

This is heresy, I know. But I’m taking Da’Shawn Hand all day, every day for a professional NFL defensive lineman over Maurice Hurst, heart issue or not. Hand is just a bigger, stronger man. Hurst has the just unbelievable quickness.

Most people don’t remember Tom Burleson who was a 7’4″ center for NC State back in the day. When Burleson was drafted into the NBA, the GM who drafted him when asked about why he took Tom Burleson said, “Late in the game, when the fast guys are tired, Tom will still be 7’4”.

Forget the heart thing, If you are stocking your football team at the professional level, you want big strong people. On the happenstance that Hurst catches a ding that makes him just normal in quickness, he’s an undersized interior lineman. Hand is a way athletic, big assed man. I think he’s the second best Lion pick of the draft. The beast of a kid from Arkansas being #1.
