ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2019

Nicholas Barr-Mira – K – Los Angeles (CA) Loyola: Barr-Mira is a 6’0″, 175 lb. prospect who also has an offer from UCLA. He attends the alma mater of Michigan cornerback David Long.

D’Von Ellies – DT – Owings Mills (MD) McDonogh: Ellies is a 6’2″, 280-pounder with offers from Maryland, Ohio State, Penn State, and USC, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #16 defensive tackle, and #251 overall. Penn State has 93% of the crystal ball picks, but he’s reportedly working on a plan to visit Michigan, so the Wolverines will have a shot.

Jared Harrison-Hunte – DT – Middle Village (NY) Christ the King: Harrison-Hunte is a 6’4″, 286 lb. prospect with offers from Miami, Ohio State, Penn State, and Tennessee, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #35 defensive tackle, and #547 overall. He has an official visit scheduled to Miami for next weekend (December 14-16), and the crystal balls are 90% in favor of Miami.

Hit the jump for a couple more new offers, as well as some guys who committed elsewhere.

Dawand Jones – OT – Indianapolis (IN) Ben Davis: Jones is a 6’8″, 360 lb. prospect with offers from Florida State, Indiana, and USC, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #84 offensive tackle, and #997 overall. He visited Michigan a couple weeks ago, has an official visit planned for FSU, and plans to announce his college decision on December 17. His crystal ball is currently 50% on Michigan, with a few teams sharing the other 50%.

D.J. Williams – RB – Sebring (FL) Sebring: Williams is a 5’10”, 210-pounder who has been committed to Appalachian State since July; he has also picked up offers from Georgia and Miami in recent weeks. He’s the nephew of former Miami Hurricane (and NFL) running back Edgerrin James. With the move of ASU coach Scott Satterfield to Louisville and the recent offers, chances are slim that Williams will end up signing with the Mountaineers. Either way, it’s a race to the finish for him since he plans to enroll early.

OFF THE BOARD

Aman Greenwood – S – Washington (DC) St. John’s: Greenwood committed to Syracuse. He’s a teammate of 2019 Michigan commit Quinten Johnson.

Wandale Robinson – WR – Frankfort (KY) Western Hills: Robinson flipped from Kentucky to Nebraska. Robinson, #117 in the 247 Composite, will be interesting to watch in Scott Frost’s Nebraska offense.

Michael Tarquin – OT – Citra (FL) North Marion: Tarquin flipped from Miami to Florida.

Jalen Wydermyer – TE – Dickinson (TX) Dickinson: Wydermyer committed to Texas A&M. The Aggies’ leading receiver this season (in receptions, yards, and touchdowns) is tight end Jace Sternberger, who had 47 catches for 804 yards (17.1 YPC) and 10 touchdowns in the regular season.

Late offers typically are in reaction to developments with current targets/commits.

Williams makes some sense for other reasons but with Robinson and Gray ending up elsewhere Michigan has room for another skill guy.

The two new DTs are more curious. Karloftis finally fully off the board could explain that. So could the somewhat disappointing performance of the DTs on the roster. Or there could be more bad news coming on the DL recruiting front…

    Thunder,

I was looking for your grade on Trente Jones. Curious if I missed it. He committed early and at the time you had not completed 2018 kids. I know you are not looking for extra work, but I really enjoy your opinion on these kids.

Let me know if I missed it.

    Thanks,
