DECOMMITMENT
Baltimore (MD) Gilman offensive tackle Devery Hamilton decommitted from Michigan and committed to Stanford (LINK).

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2018
Pickerington (OH) Central tight end Trenton Gillison was offered by Michigan. Gillison is a 6’5″, 220 lb. prospect with offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, and Kentucky, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #6 tight end, and #116 overall. Gillison is a long athlete with a good frame and decent speed.

Newbury Park (CA) Newbury Park quarterback Cameron Rising was offered by Michigan. Rising is a 6’3″, 180 lb. prospect with offers from Arizona, Cal, and Houston, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 4-star, the #7 pro-style quarterback, and #95 overall. He’s a little thin still and needs to add some weight, but he’s an athletic pro-style QB who does a nice job of throwing on the run. As a sophomore in 2015, he completed 191/319 passes (59.9%) for 3,213 yards, 40 touchdowns, and just 1 interception; he also ran 79 times for 756 yards (9.6 yards/carry) and 11 touchdowns.

OFF THE BOARD
Cincinnati (OH) St. Xavier offensive guard Matt Bockhorst, a 2017 prospect, committed to Clemson. Michigan had offered, but they were not heavily involved in his recruitment.

Fort Lauderdale (FL) Dillard defensive tackle Jon Ford, a 2017 prospect, committed to Miami. Michigan just offered Ford last week, but obviously it wasn’t enough to stave off a pledge to the Hurricanes.

McKinney (TX) Boyd offensive guard Tyrese Robinson, another 2017 lineman, committed to Oklahoma.

Upper Marlboro (MD) Riverdale Baptist cornerback Sir Patrick Scott committed to Marshall. Scott is a former Michigan commit who decommitted in January.

Paramus (NJ) Catholic wide receiver Donald Stewart committed to Stanford. Stewart had named Michigan his leader several times throughout his recruitment, but he also named Stanford his “dream school.” It’s unclear how much more room Michigan has for receivers in the 2016 class, as they missed out on Stewart and have also reportedly told Miami (FL) Miami Keyshawn “Pie” Young that they would not accept his commitment.

Downers Grove (IL) South offensive tackle Erik Swenson committed to Oklahoma. Swenson is a former Michigan commit, whose situation raised quite a stir when people thought Michigan gave him too late of notice that he would not be a part of the Wolverines’ recruiting class.

MISCELLANEOUS
I posted a link to the beginnings of a visitor’s list for next weekend (LINK).

Michigan has picked up several preferred walk-on commitments lately. Here’s a list of those commitments, as well as walk-on offers (LINK).

Here’s a rundown of Michigan’s remaining 2016 targets, their announcement times, and the commitments that have taken place over the past several days (LINK). At least three of Michigan’s offerees will be picking today, so I’ll take a stab at their destinations:

  • Desmond Fitzpatrick – WR – MI: Nebraska
  • Jordan Fuller – ATH – NJ: Ohio State
  • Damar Hamlin – CB – PA: Pitt
