ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2019

Richmond (VA) Henrico wide receiver Jahad Carter, a Virginia Tech commit, was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’0″, 185 lb. prospect who also holds offers from South Carolina and Syracuse, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #73 athlete, and #773 overall. He has been committed to the Hokies since September of 2017.

St. Louis (MO) Trinity Catholic offensive guard Ira Henry was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’5″, 320-pounder with offers from Alabama, Florida, Illinois, and Oklahoma, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #73 offensive tackle, and #845 overall.

Madison (AL) Bob Jones cornerback Jaydon Hill was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’0″, 172 lb. corner with offers from Nebraska, South Carolina, Texas, and Texas A&M, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #26 cornerback, and #294 overall. He had 5 interceptions and 26 pass breakups as a junior in 2017. I really like his style of play and I think he would fit in well in Michigan’s defensive scheme.

Hit the jump for more on new offers, guys who committed elsewhere, and some top ___ lists that include Michigan.

Kansas City (MO) Rockhurst offensive guard Danielson Ike was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’6″, 320-pounder with offers from Alabama, Louisville, and Nebraska, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #31 offensive tackle, and #284 overall. While he has the height to play offensive tackle, he looks like a guy who may have to play inside.

Miami (FL) Doral Academy offensive guard Wardrick Wilson, a Florida commit, was offered by Michigan. He’s a 6’5″, 305 lb. prospect who also has offers from Missouri, Nebraska, and Tennessee, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #35 offensive tackle, and #372 overall. He has been committed to Florida since July of 2017.

OFF THE BOARD

Stafford (VA) North running back Devyn Ford committed to Penn State. He’s yet another 5-star back headed to Happy Valley, along with Miles Sanders and Ricky Slade. That Saquon Barkley wasn’t even a highly ranked running back coming out of high school.

Fort Worth (TX) Nolan Catholic linebacker/defensive end NaNa Osafo-Mensah committed to Notre Dame. He noted in his announcement that he’s 131% committed to Notre Dame, which sounds like the type of score that led to their academic scandal and the subsequent erasure of several victories.

Hollywood (FL) Chaminade-Madonna cornerback Keontra Smith flipped from Kentucky to Miami. He’s a teammate of Michigan cornerback commit Te’Cory Couch.

MISCELLANEY

Fort Washington (MD) National Christian Academy offensive tackle William Harrod named a top seven of Florida, LSU, Michigan, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Tennessee. Michigan has all 14 of the crystal ball picks. Harrod is the #21 offensive tackle in the class.

Oakdale (CT) St. Thomas More cornerback Tyler Rudolph will announce his college decision at 6:00 p.m. this evening. He is choosing between Clemson, Florida, Michigan, and Penn State, but the Nittany Lions are the favorite to land him.

Mineral (VA) Louisa linebacker Brandon Smith plans to announce his college decision today from a group of schools including Clemson, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, and Texas A&M. I do not believe his choice will be Michigan, but it would be nice to get the #30 overall player in the country.

Suwanee (GA) North Gwinnett cornerback D.J. Turner II announced a commitment date of June 25. There’s a long time between now and then, but the odds-on favorite is Michigan right now. He’s a 3-star, the #39 cornerback, and #435 overall.

Alexandria (VA) Episcopal safety Salim Turner-Muhammad named a final five of Boston College, Michigan, Notre Dame, Stanford, and Wisconsin. He’s the #20 cornerback in the country, but it looks like he’ll be heading to Stanford.

St. Louis (MO) St. John Vianney running back Kyren Williams named a top eight of Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, and Stanford. He said he would be committing soon, though he did not give a specific date. All eight crystal ball picks are for Notre Dame in this one.
