Bredeson committed to Michigan over Wisconsin (a surprising move for a Wisconsin native), and here’s what I had to say about him at the time (LINK):

Overall, I think Bredeson is a player who could slide in at all five positions. He can stay low enough to maintain leverage at the interior positions, and he has the foot quickness to block guys on the edge. I do not see him being an elite left tackle prospect like, say, Taylor Lewan because Bredeson just lacks the length and athleticism that Lewan had. He needs to get in the weight and learn some new technique, and then I think he can be a mauler for a powerful offense. He’s a potential All-Big Ten player.

I gave him a TTB Rating of 88, and he was a 247 Composite 4-star, the #5 offensive tackle, and #39 overall.

2020 Reese’s Senior Bowl Thoughts

I was able to spend more time watching the East-West Shrine Game last week, so here are just a few quick-hitters on my takeaways on the Michigan guys (and some others).

Change is Coming: Offense

Every year the new season brings changes big and small. It seems that the 2020 season will bring some pretty significant changes to what we see on the field at Michigan, from players to coaches. Here’s a look at the expected changes and what we might see in 2020.

Out: QB Shea Patterson
In: Dylan McCaffrey/Joe Milton
Patterson was just the third quarterback to throw for 3,000 yards in a season, but many weren’t happy with his performance. Redshirt junior McCaffrey and redshirt sophomore Joe Milton will battle it out, and the belief (on my end) is that the loser of that battle will not finish out his career at Michigan. McCaffrey is the better overall player – both passing and running – but a concussion and a collarbone injury have ended his previous two seasons.
