Pittsburgh Steelers rookie linebacker Devin Bush, Jr. made a big impact on the flow of the game on Sunday afternoon, making 11 tackles and 2 fumble recoveries. Unfortunately for him, the Steelers lost to the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 24-20. I saw a tweet saying that his 3 fumble recoveries are the most for a Steeler since 2008 . . . when former Wolverine LaMarr Woodley had 4.

New England Patriots outside linebacker Chase Winovich had 2 tackles and 1.5 sacks in a 43-0 win over the Miami Dolphins. And speaking of the Dolphins…they might literally end up being the worst team in NFL history, even worse than the 0-16 Lions and the 0-16 Browns.

HONORABLE MENTION

  • Tom Brady, QB (New England Patriots): Brady was 20/28 for 264 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions, along with 1 rushing touchdown.
  • Devin Bush, Jr., LB (Pittsburgh Steelers): Bush made 7 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 1 fumble recovery in a 28-26 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
  • Taco Charlton, DE (Dallas Cowboys): Charlton demanded a trade after being inactive for the first two games. Then he was waived and subsequently claimed by the Miami Dolphins.
  • Frank Clark, DE (Kansas City Chiefs): Clark made 3 tackles and 1 tackle for loss in a 28-10 win over the Oakland Raiders.
  • Brandon Graham, DE (Philadelphia Eagles): Graham made 2 tackles and 1 tackle for loss in a 24-20 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
  • Delano Hill, S (Seattle Seahawks): Hill made 3 tackles and intercepted a two-point conversion in a 28-26 win over the Steelers.
  • Jabrill Peppers, S (New York Giants): Peppers made 6 tackles and 2 punt returns for 7 yards in a 28-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
  • Jarrod Wilson, S (Jacksonville Jaguars): Wilson made 8 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 1 pass breakup in a 13-12 loss to the Houston Texans.
