I wish this kid well. It would be nice if he could make it to U of M, albeit unlikely. My impression from the article is that there is no other place he would like to play ball but Michigan. He certainly is a superb athlete, with super speed. The question is whether Hoke and company would be willing to give him a chance.

It would be fun to have this kid across from Countess for a couple of years.

The coaching staff really has an opportunity here with little risk at all. If the kid can make grades and transfer to the university (getting through admissions and all) as a student and not as an athlete, then why not give him a chance to walk on. He has earned it by getting in and would be no different than any other kid doing tryouts. If he makes the team then it is a great story, if he doesn't make the team then it is still a great story that he earned his way into school and could graduate with a degree of Michigan.

So his coverage skills are a W.I.P. but he has elite speed to close. Sounds like a great safety prospect to me. Sounds like he wants good things for himself so you gotta want good things for him too. Wonder if they'll let him transfer in the next class? He won't have to sit out a redshirt year after all.
