Mesquite (TX) North OT Jean Delance

Jean Delance – OT – Mesquite (TX) North: Delance is a 6’5″, 291 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 4-star, the #11 offensive tackle, and #92 overall. An Under Armour All-American, this is thought to be a three-horse race between Michigan, Oklahoma, and Texas with the Wolverines playing a little from behind. Delance is essentially the only offensive tackle left on Michigan’s board, so if they want a true tackle in the 2016 class, they may need to expand their board if Delance goes elsewhere. This official visit was rescheduled from Ohio State week.

Jordan Elliott – DT – Houston (TX) Westside: Elliott committed to Michigan on the weekend of the Ohio State game (LINK).

Chris Evans – RB – Indianapolis (IN) Ben Davis: Evans committed to Michigan in June (LINK).

Hit the jump for several more visitors.

Brad Hawkins, Jr. – WR – Camden (NJ) Camden: Hawkins committed to Michigan in June (LINK).

Lavert Hill – CB – Detroit (MI) King: Hill is a 5’11”, 175 lb. prospect with offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, and USC, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 4-star, the #11 cornerback, and #143 overall. He recently announced that he would be committing publicly with teammate Donnie Corley. Hill is a former Penn State commit whose brother Delano is a junior safety at Michigan.

Nate Johnson – WR – Thompson’s Station (TN) Independence: Johnson is a 5’11”, 175 lb. prospect with offers from Miami, Michigan, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 3-star, the #65 wide receiver, and #371 overall. A former Purdue commit, Johnson has reeled in several offers recently after a very good senior season. He had an official visit set for Purdue this weekend, but it looks like he will forego that visit to come to Ann Arbor; he also has plans to officially visit Miami, Northwestern, and Vanderbilt in January.

Ron Johnson, Jr. – DE – Camden (NJ) Camden: Johnson committed to Michigan in June (LINK).

Jonathan Jones – LB – Orlando (FL) Oak Ridge: Jones is a 6’0″, 225 lb. prospect with offers from Duke, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Stanford, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 3-star, the #31 outside linebacker, and #415 overall. Jones took a four-day visit to Michigan in June and was expected to commit to the Wolverines at the time. He has maintained Michigan as his leader, but holding off on a commitment has left some questions about whether he will choose the Wolverines or not. He has been visited a couple times by Michigan coaches recently, and they are still pursuing him hard. This official visit was rescheduled from Ohio State week.

Brandon Peters – QB – Avon (IN) Avon: Peters committed to Michigan in April (LINK). He was recently named Indiana’s Mr. Football.

Antwaine Richardson – CB – Delray Beach (FL) Atlantic: Richardson committed to Michigan in June (LINK). He suffered a partially torn ACL even before that camp, and he missed his senior football season while recovering from surgery. This official visit will be Richardson’s first trip to Michigan.

    Thunder,

Who do you like more? O’Korn vs. Prokup vs. Taysom Hill

I will not claim to be any type of talent evaluator, but O’Korn appears to be very athletic and more polished a passer than the others. Plus fits the current system best? Hill is very athletic, but is probably more of a spread guy? Not sure I like Prokup at all compared to these two! If UM ends up with O’Kornat starter, fine by me! With that said, Hill coming may breathe some life into the run game? Thank you!

I agree with your take. I like Hill’s game in some ways, but I have reservations about his ability to stay healthy. It doesn’t do much good to bring in “competition” for O’Korn if the “competition” is in the training room getting treatment. I have concerns about Prukop’s accuracy and ability to play in the system that Harbaugh/Drevno have established, because the stuff Montana State runs is more like what you see from Dana Holgorsen at WVU.
