Iowa City (IA) West wide receiver Oliver Martin

Iowa City (IA) West wide receiver Oliver Martin committed to Michigan on Sunday and made it public on Monday night. He chose the Wolverines over offers from Iowa, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Ohio State, among others.

Martin is 6’1″, 188 lbs. and claims a 4.6 forty. As a senior in 2016, he caught 85 passes for 1,272 yards and 14 touchdowns. He had 73 catches for 1,187 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior in 2015. He participated in Nike’s The Opening last summer and played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl earlier this month. Iowa named him Gatorade Player of the Year.

Boubacar Cissoko – Cornerback – Detroit (MI) Cass Tech
Cissoko was an early commitment in 2007.  Highly recruited, he played extensively as a freshman in 2008.  A starter at the beginning of 2009, Cissoko made 16 tackles, 2 pass breakups, and 1 interception before being suspended and eventually kicked off the team for personal conduct issues.  Cissoko was then arrested for robbery charges that occurred after his football career ended.  He was released from jail and played semi-pro football.
Current status: Out of football

2017 Team Ranking: #41 nationally. #8 in Big Ten. Wisconsin has one 4-star, fourteen 3-stars, and one 2-star.

Cream of the 2017 Crop: Middleton (WI) Middleton offensive guard Kayden Lyles is a 4-star, the #12 offensive guard, and #206 overall. He’s a 6’3″, 323-pounder who turned down offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and USC, among others, and moved from Scottsdale, AZ to complete high school after committing to the Badgers. They’re also bringing in Iowa Western Community College weakside end Andrew Van Ginkel, who’s a 3-star, the #2 weakside end, and #24 overall in the JUCO rankings.
