Pity that television can’t figure out more/better end zone viewing on a down by down basis so we could actually use all the great education now available for football fans.
I figured out pretty much everything George Perlis was up to in about two series of downs sitting between the goalposts one Saturday afternoon. Which might strike you as an extremely cocky comment, but really it was incredibly simple.
In the age of triple option football and student body left/right you could sum the entire run defense in one run on sentence, “Nobody gets a hat on Percy Snow … ever … under any set of circumstances whatsoever … never, ever, neverever, or it’s your ass.
