2019 Ranking: #28 nationally. #7 in Big Ten. They have one 5-star, one 4-star, and sixteen 3-stars signed, along with one 3-star who’s a verbal commit.

Cream of the 2019 Crop: Belleville (MI) Bellville offensive tackle Devontae Dobbs (5-star, #1 OG, #26 overall) committed to the Spartans in June of 2018. He picked MSU over offers from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, and Wisconsin, among others. He was a participant in Nike’s The Opening last summer, and he will be playing in the Under Armour All-American Game in a week and a half.

2020 Ranking: N/A. Michigan State has zero commits in the 2020 class.

    Hey Magnus, happy holidays and great job this year on the website – thanks! What is your take on Dobbs? I have read mixed reactions on his abilities, yet he obviously remains highly rated.

      Dobbs is extremely talented. He can bend and he can move really well. With him I think it all comes down to attitude/effort. If you can get the best out of him on every play, you’ve got a real player on your hands. Also, he’s not ideal size for tackle, so he might have to play inside, but to me a good lineman is a good lineman.
