Charles Thomas, Wolverine

NOTE: You know the cliche among recruiting people that a player usually commits when we go on vacation? Well, it’s not not true.

Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy linebacker Charles Thomas committed to Michigan on Saturday. He chose the Wolverines over offers from Clemson, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, and others.

Thomas is 6’0″ and 216 lbs. As a sophomore in 2016, he made 132 tackles, 3 sacks, and 1 interception.

I updated the visitors list with a bunch of players who camped over the weekend. It was too hard to tell from social media who was camping and who was just visiting, so I clumped them all together.

2018

Emil Ekiyor – OG – Indianapolis (IN) Cathedral:

Aidan Hutchinson – DE – Dearborn (MI) Divine Child:

Jalen Mayfield – OT – Grand Rapids (MI) Catholic Central:

Cameron McGrone – LB – Indianapolis (IN) Lawrence Central: McGrone is a 6’1″, 215 lb. prospect with offers from Indiana, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Wisconsin, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #17 outside linebacker, and #251 overall. He does not have a Michigan offer yet, but he is likely to get one on this trip.

Raiqwon O’Neal – OT – Conway (SC) Conway: O’Neal is a 6’5″, 265 lb. prospect with offers from Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, and South Carolina, among others. He’s a 247 Sports 3-star, the #70 offensive tackle, and #876 overall. He runs extremely well for a big guy, and I’m very surprised that he’s only the #876 overall recruit in the country. Conway is the alma mater of former Michigan wide receiver Junior Hemingway.
