DECOMMITMENT

Amauri Pesek-Hickson – LB – Leawood (KS) Blue Valley North: Pesek-Hickson decommitted from Michigan after realizing/learning that Michigan was offering a grayshirt opportunity and wants transfer defensive linemen instead of linebackers. He ended up signing with Kansas.

OFF THE BOARD

Jonathan Allen – OT – Dayton (OH) Dunbar: Allen committed to Cincinnati.

Khris Bogle – DE – Fort Lauderdale (FL) Cardinal Gibbons: Bogle flipped from Alabama to Florida in a somewhat surprising move after committing to Alabama at the All-American Bowl. He’s the #71 overall player in the class.

Jerrion Ealy – RB – Flowood (MS) Jackson Prep: Flowood, a former Mississippi State commit, was expected to go to Clemson but ended up signing with Ole Miss. He was a 5-star and the lone standout running back at the Under Armour All-American Game.

Kaiir Elam – CB – Palm Beach Gardens (FL) Benjamin: Elam committed to Florida.

Isaiah Foskey – DE – Concord (CA) De La Salle: Foskey committed to Notre Dame as a defensive end. Michigan had been looking at him as a tight end. Foskey is a former teammate of one-time Michigan tight end Devin Asiasi, who is now at UCLA.

Demarcus Griffin – CB – Charlotte (NC) Olympic: Griffin committed to Utah State.

Daequan Hardy – CB – Pittsburgh (PA) Penn Hills: Hardy signed with Penn State.

Jared Harrison-Hunte – DT – Middle Village (NY) Christ the King: Harrison-Hunte committed to Miami.

Ira Henry – OG – St. Louis (MO) Trinity Catholic: Henry committed to Florida State.

Danielson Ike – OT – Kansas City (MI) Rockhurst: Ike committed to SMU.

Dawand Jones – OT – Indianapolis (IN) Ben Davis: Jones blew up late in the recruiting cycle and picked Ohio State over Florida State, Michigan, Oregon, and USC, among others.

Tavian Mayo – CB – Leesburg (GA) Lee County: Mayo signed with West Virginia.

Lloyd Murray, Jr. – DT – Wichita Falls (TX) Hirschi: Murray signed with Colorado.

Adonis Otey – CB – Murfreesboro (TN) Blackman: Otey flipped from Arkansas to USC.

George Pickens – WR – Hoover (AL) Hoover: Pickens flipped from Auburn to Georgia. This was probably the biggest newsmaker of National Signing Day when the long-time Auburn commit picked the Bulldogs. He’s a 5-star and #24 overall in the class.

Matthew Pola-Mao – DT – Chandler (AZ) Chandler: Pola-Mao committed to Kansas State.

Garmon Randolph – TE – Jefferson (GA) Jefferson: Randolph committed to Baylor.

Jammie Robinson – S – Leesburg (GA) Lee County: Robinson committed to South Carolina.

Joshua Sanguinetti – S – Fort Lauderdale (FL) University School: Sanguinetti committed to Indiana. The Hoosiers signed three 4-star prospects, and that doesn’t include Sanguinetti, who’s #417 overall in the class.

Ishmael Sopsher – DT – Amite (LA) Amite: Sopsher committed to Alabama.

Jaquaze Sorrells – DT – Winter Park (FL) Winter Park: Sorrells committed to South Carolina.

Reddy Steward – CB – Decatur (AL) Austin: Steward committed to Troy.

Henry To’oto’o – LB – Concord (CA) De La Salle: To’oto’o committed to Tennessee after being expected to sign with Alabama.

David Ugwoegbu – TE – Katy (TX) Seven Lakes: Ugwoegbu signed with Oklahoma.

Christian Williams – S – Daphne (AL) Daphne: Williams committed to Miami.

Recruiting Update: December 6, 2018

Owings Mills (MD) McDonogh DT D’Von Ellies (image via Hudl)

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2019

Nicholas Barr-Mira – K – Los Angeles (CA) Loyola: Barr-Mira is a 6’0″, 175 lb. prospect who also has an offer from UCLA. He attends the alma mater of Michigan cornerback David Long.

D’Von Ellies – DT – Owings Mills (MD) McDonogh: Ellies is a 6’2″, 280-pounder with offers from Maryland, Ohio State, Penn State, and USC, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #16 defensive tackle, and #251 overall. Penn State has 93% of the crystal ball picks, but he’s reportedly working on a plan to visit Michigan, so the Wolverines will have a shot.

Jared Harrison-Hunte – DT – Middle Village (NY) Christ the King: Harrison-Hunte is a 6’4″, 286 lb. prospect with offers from Miami, Ohio State, Penn State, and Tennessee, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #35 defensive tackle, and #547 overall. He has an official visit scheduled to Miami for next weekend (December 14-16), and the crystal balls are 90% in favor of Miami.

Recruiting Update: Thanksgiving Style

Indianapolis (IN) Ben Davis OT Dawand Jones (image via IndyStar)

COMMITMENTS

Jalen Perry – CB – Dacula (GA) Dacula: Perry committed to Michigan.

Amauri Pesek-Hickson – LB – Leawood (KS) Blue Valley North: Pesek-Hickson committed to Michigan (LINK).

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2019

Tommy Eichenberg – LB – Cleveland (OH) St. Ignatius: Eichenberg decommitted from Boston College. He’s a 4-star, the #19 inside linebacker, and #359 overall. He has earned offers from Michigan and Ohio State since he committed to B.C., so now it seems to be a battle between the Buckeyes and Wolverines. The crystal ball is 81% in favor of Ohio State, and with the recent commitment of Pesek-Hickson, I don’t believe this is going to go in Michigan’s favor. He also has an older brother at Notre Dame, but the Fighting Irish have not offered.

Dawand Jones – OT – Indianapolis (IN) Ben Davis: Jones is a 6’8″, 360 lb. prospect with offers from Florida State, Indiana, Michigan, and USC, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #85 offensive tackle, and #986 overall. Jones took an unofficial visit to Michigan last weekend, which is when the offer from the Wolverines was extended.

Darius Robinson – TE – Canton (MI) Canton: Robinson is a 6’6″, 250-pounder with offers from Colorado, Maryland, and Syracuse, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #48 strongside end, and #662 overall. Michigan offered him as a tight end, which he did play in high school, but for a heavy run team. As of the time he was offered on Tuesday, his crystal ball was 100% in favor of the Syracuse Orange.

MISCELLANEY

Jaylen Ellis – WR – Round Rock (TX) Cedar Ridge: Ellis named Michigan to his top six, including Arizona, Baylor, Cal, Houston, Michigan, and Tennessee. He’s a 3-star, the #56 wide receiver, and #438 overall. His crystal ball is 100% on Texas, though.

Kyle Ford – WR – Orange (CA) Lutheran: Ford named a top five of Colorado, Michigan, Oregon, USC, and Washington. He’s a 5-star, the #5 wide receiver, and #29 overall, but he tore his ACL during his senior season. He plans to announce on January 5, 2019.

Harrison Bailey – QB – Marietta (GA) Marietta: Bailey is announcing his commitment at 8:45 a.m. on November 29. He’s a 4-star, the #3 pro-style QB, and #59 overall in the 2020 class. The crystal ball is 90% in favor of Michigan.
