OFF THE BOARD
Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy offensive guard Verdis Brown committed to Florida State. The 6’3″, 294-pounder is the #2 center in the country, according to the 247 Composite. Brown could play guard, center, or defensive tackle in college. Brown had named Michigan to his top 10 recently.
Tampa (FL) Plant defensive tackle Judge Culpepper committed to Penn State. The 6’5″, 256 lb. lineman is the son of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Brad Culpepper, who made a pretty nice pair with Warren Sapp. At one point, Judge was considered to be a tight end, and then a defensive end, and now it seems like he’s looking more and more like daddy.
Atlanta (GA) Carver safety Quindarious Monday committed to Auburn. The 4-star and #9 athlete in the class has some good film of him playing both offense and defense, and at 6’3″, he has a chance to be a very physical safety. Michigan was playing from behind, and this was a bit of an upset win for Auburn over Clemson.
Lindenhurst (NY) Lindenhurst tight end Jeremy Ruckert committed to Ohio State. This is unfortunate, since he’s the #1 tight end in the country. Here’s a tweet I posted last night:
Urban Meyer reportedly told Ruckert that he would change the offense just for him and throw to the tight end more, so I’ll set the over/under at 50 catches for tight ends during any two of Ruckert’s seasons in Columbus.
