ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2024

Micah Kaapana – RB – Las Vegas (NV) Bishop Gorman: Kaapana is a 5’11”, 195 lb. prospect with offers from Arizona State, BYU, Oklahoma State, and Utah, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #51 running back, and #612 overall.

Elijah Newby – LB – Cheshire (CT) Cheshire Academy: Newby is a 6’4″, 200 lb. prospect with offers from Kentucky, North Carolina, Penn State, and USC, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #59 linebacker, and #642 overall. This is the same school that sent wide receiver Tarik Black to Michigan in the 2017 class.

2024 Recruiting Update: April 10, 2023

COMMITMENT

Kansas City (MO) Rockhurst offensive tackle Andrew Sprague committed to Michigan (LINK). I also wrote a scouting report on him (LINK).

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2024

Sacramento (CA) Grant Union linebacker Kingston Lopa decommitted from Arizona. Lopa is a 6’5″, 190-pounder who plays safety but is ranked as a linebacker (3-star, #55 LB, #604 overall). The decommitment came a month after being offered by Notre Dame and a couple days after one from Texas.

Michigan offered Esko (MN) Lincoln safety Koi Perich. Perich visited Ann Arbor a couple weekends ago but left without an offer; however, Michigan came back a little over a week later with an offer. He’s a 4-star and the #28 safety to 247 Sports. Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Washington, and others have also fofered.
