Brian Asamoah – LB – Columbus (OH) St. Francis DeSales: Asamoah is a 6’0″, 205 lb. prospect with offers from Cincinnati, Kentucky, Michigan, Penn State, and Pitt, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #45 outside linebacker, and #635 overall. Right now all three Crystal Ball picks are in favor of Cincinnati. Asamoah was supposed to visit a few weeks ago, but Jim Harbaugh was out of town, so he rescheduled. The word is that Michigan is concentrating on Dallas Gant as their primary – and lone – linebacker target right now, so they may not push for Asamoah. He’s visiting on Saturday, April 8.

Christian Turner – RB – Buford (GA) Buford: Turner is a 5’11”, 187 lb. runner with offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Tennessee, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #30 running back, and #494 overall. He visited Michigan on Thursday, April 6.

2019

Logan Brown – OT – Kentwood (MI) East Kentwood: Brown is a 6’6″, 280 lb. prospect with offers from Michigan and Wisconsin, among others.

M.J. Griffin – CB – Saline (MI) Saline: Griffin is a 5’10”, 170 lb. prospect with offers from Indiana, Iowa State, and a couple MAC schools. He’s a transfer from Belleville (MI) Belleville.

Drake Thomas – LB – Wake Forest (NC) Heritage: Thomas is a 6’0″, 225 lb. prospect with offers from Marshall, Michigan, North Carolina, and North Carolina State, among others. Michigan was his first offer. He’ll be in town today, April 7.

Martin Andrus – DT – Los Angeles (CA) Los Angeles: Andrus is a 6’1″, 280 lb. prospect with offers from Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, UCLA, and USC, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 3-star, the #20 defensive tackle, and #350 overall. He announced he would take an official visit this weekend, but Michigan may not be actively recruiting him going forward.

Alonzo Booth – FB – Columbus (OH) St. Francis DeSales:

Eddie Brecht – OT – Lapeer (MI) Lapeer:

Willie Gay – LB – Starkville (MS) Starkville: Gay is a 6’1″, 215 lb. prospect who committed to Ole Miss in June; he also has offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, and Mississippi State, among others. The U.S. Army All-American is a 247 Composite 4-star, the #8 outside linebacker, and #124 overall. This is his official visit.

Matt Hankins – CB – Flower Mound (TX) Marcus: Hankins is a 6’0″, 160 lb. prospect who is committed to Iowa; he also has offers from Houston, Michigan, and Missouri, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 3-star, the #87 cornerback, and #863 overall. This is his official visit.

Toryque Bateman – OT – Gadsden (AL) Gadsden City: Bateman is a 6’8″, 305 lb. prospect with offers from Arizona State, Miami, Michigan, and Tennessee, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 3-star, the #43 offensive tackle, and #408 overall. Bateman was close to committing to Michigan at one point and the Crystal Ball is still 62% in favor of the Wolverines, but there have been rumors that Michigan might back off due to questions about whether he’ll qualify or not. UPDATE: Bateman did not make it to town.

Markquese Bell – WR – Bridgeton (NJ) Bridgeton: Bell is a 6’3″, 194 lb. prospect with offers from Clemson, Florida, Maryland, Michigan, and Rutgers, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 4-star, the #6 athlete, and #179 overall. I did a scouting report on him back in April (LINK). He said several weeks ago that distance would no longer be a factor in his recruitment, which led some to believe that he was leaning away from Rutgers and perhaps toward the Wolverines. UPDATE: Bell is now visiting for the Wisconsin game on October 1.

Ellis Brooks – LB – Richmond (VA) Benedictine:

Nico Collins – WR – Pinson (AL) Clay-Chalkville: Collins is a 6’5″, 195 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, and Michigan, among others. He’s a 247 Composite 4-star, the #13 wide receiver, and #86 overall. Alabama was thought to be the early leader, then Michigan jumped to the front, and now there are rumors that Georgia is in the driver’s seat. This will be his third visit to Michigan in the last few months. The Crystal Ball is 62% in favor of the Wolverines. UPDATE: Collins did not make it to town.
