Michigan’s 10 Longest Plays vs. Penn State

Michigan and Penn State are two storied programs, but they didn’t play each other until 1993, when the Nittany Lions joined the Big Ten. Immediately, Michigan ripped off a couple of the biggest plays in series history, with a 48-yard punt return touchdown by Derrick Alexander and a 47-yard touchdown run by Tyrone Wheatley. Wheatley had Michigan’s longest play in series history in the second meeting.

  2. Brandon Watson 62-yard interception return TD (2018)
  3. Denard Robinson 60-yard TD pass to Kevin Koger (2010)
  4. Devin Gardner 59-yard TD pass to Devin Funchess (2013)
  5. Hassan Haskins 59-yard run (2020)
  6. Jourdan Lewis 55-yard kickoff return (2015)
  7. Walter Cross 53-yard kickoff return (1999)
  8. John Navarre 53-yard TD pass to Ronald Bellamy (2001)
  9. Jabrill Peppers 53-yard punt return (2016)
  10. Karan Higdon 50-yard run (2018)

Devin Asiasi, TE (UCLA): Overall, Asiasi caught 44 passes for 641 yards (14.6 yards/catch) and 4 touchdowns as UCLA went 4-8. Asiasi declared for the NFL Draft despite having one year of eligibility remaining.

Brian Cole, S (Mississippi State): Cole sat out the Music City Bowl to prepare for a potential NFL career. He made 67 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 1 interception, 2 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble in his final college season.

Kekoa Crawford, WR (Cal): Crawford caught 2 passes for 29 yards in a 35-20 win over Illinois. Crawford made a total of 16 catches for 272 yards and 2 touchdowns this season. He was leading Cal in receiving early in the year, but an injury caused him to miss seven games.

Ja’Raymond Hall, OT (CMU): Hall did not play in a single game in 2019.

Kekoa Crawford, WR (Cal): Crawford did not play in the 24-20 win over Stanford.
