Tom Brady (image via Philly.com)

The jerk who shined a laser on Tom Brady in the AFC Championship game didn’t get away with it (LINK).

The Detroit News asked a bunch of in-state recruits why they did (or did not) pick Michigan and Michigan State (LINK).

Bruce Feldman, from The Athletic, revisits the main characters from his Meat Market book (LINK).

This truly was the best commercial of the whole Super Bowl. I loved seeing the “old-timey” football players.

Here’s a little bit of info about the Lombardi Trophy:

That pick of Brady with Daughter is the absolute best thing of Ive seen regarding anything football in like forever – the vid of it too – gawd just priceless!………..

It brought back so manny memories of my daughter when she was that age and the interaction. For me just horribly too personal as my dawter is the only blood relative i know of in my life; have ever known in my life…….I can’t even begin to try and articulate it little lone put into writing……….

I hope Brady shitcans all of his football accomplishments and embraces that moment with dawter for evah!……..
My dawter , yeah I digress, She is an amazing woman, did her premed at GVSU; med skool at a private med school in North Carol’ina, loosely affiliated with Duke; currently doin her oncology fellowship at Brody Medical Research Center; Eastern Carolina Univesity having had a couple of her cancer research projects accepted for presentation this May with the American Thoracic Institute…………

OK I’ll stfu but yeah lil girls rock and when they grow up to be real women independent intelligent accomplished in the true sense of the words, well…..

    OK I’ll stfu………..INTJohn

Every dad needs to brag about his kids once in a while. I’m glad for you that you have such a strong love for your daughter.

Fry the guy with the laser.

    The NFL commercial was great.

Defensive battles can be very stressful. I banish myself to the basement and I must have paced five miles before the game was over.

I agree that the photo with TB and his daughter is priceless! That right there is a much bigger memory than winning the Superbowl.

Wow, reading through the comments from the class of 2019 In State Recruits hurts a little bit. Hearing the repeated phrase about “real” relationships doesn’t sit well. Let’s hope that this article gets buried and that the changes in the staff help improve that image. I understand Michigan chooses who they want to take in a class and who they want to move away from. There are various reasons, but for several of those kids the opportunity to prove Michigan wrong seems like a strong motivating factor.

2-3 of those same kids would have been great to have, at positions of need

Michigan did not do a great job with in-state recruiting in the 2019 class. Part of that is the loss of Tyrone Wheatley, and part of it is Tim Drevno. It just wasn’t a great situation, whether it was people leaving or people just doing a crappy job. This comes back to my belief that you need at least one guy on your staff who has great ties within the state of Michigan. I think Fred Jackson was really valuable in that aspect.
