2020

Van Fillinger – DE – Draper (UT) Corner Canyon: Fillinger is a 6’3″, 250-pounder with offers from LSU, Michigan, Oregon, and USC, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #21 strongside end, and #485 overall. All nine crystal ball picks are for Michigan.

Andrew Gentry – OT – Littleton (CO) Columbine: Gentry (no relation to Zach) is a 6’8″, 310 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Michigan, and Notre Dame, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #6 offensive tackle, and #47 overall. Three out of four of the crystal ball picks for Gentry are for BYU, and his player comparison on 247 is none other than former Michigan lineman Michael Schofield (LINK). This is an unofficial visit.

2020 Recruiting Update: May 13, 2019

Brenden Rice (image via Sports360AZ)

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2020

Sam Brown – WR – Bloomingdale (GA) New Hampstead: Brown is a 6’1″, 185 lb. prospect with offers from Colorado, Kentucky, and Tennessee, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #173 wide receiver, and #1092 overall. He claims a 4.45 forty, a 4.66 shuttle, and a 38″ vertical.

Collin Gamble – CB – Argyle (TX) Liberty Christian: Gamble is a 5’10”, 175-pounder with offers from Houston, Northwestern, and Texas Tech, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #99 cornerback, and #1191 overall.

Brenden Rice – WR – Chandler (AZ) Hamilton: Rice is a 6’3″, 208 lb. prospect with offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, Texas A&M, and UCLA, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #57 wide receiver, and #331 overall. Perhaps most significantly is this: he’s the son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice. I don’t think there’s any danger of the younger Rice following his dad’s legacy at Mississippi Valley State.

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2020

Choe Bryant-Strother – LB – Norcross (GA) Greater Atlanta Christian: Bryant-Strother is a 6’2″, 230 lb. prospect with offers from Georgia Tech, Tennessee, and UCLA, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #18 inside linebacker, and #583 overall. He claims a 4.82 forty, a 4.1 shuttle, and a 37.2″ vertical. He’s a 4-star, the #23 cornerback, and #279 overall. He took an official visit to Oklahoma last month, and all six of his crystal balls are for the Sooners. He’s a teammate of 2021 defensive end Quintin Somerville, who visited Michigan recently.

Braiden McGregor (image via 247 Sports)

2020

Jalen Berger – RB – Ramsey (NJ) Don Bosco Prep: Berger, who attends Jabrill Peppers’ former powerhouse program Don Bosco, is a 6’0″, 187 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #5 athlete, and #50 overall. He’s pretty slightly built for a running back and plays a few different spots, so he could end up at a lot of different positions (RB, slot receiver, CB, or S). So far he has two crystal ball picks for Ohio State. He was at Michigan on Wednesday.

Braiden McGregor – DE – Port Huron (MI) Northern: McGregor is a 6’5″, 248 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, and Notre Dame, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #11 strongside end, and #199 overall. He claims a 5.06 forty and a 4.69 shuttle. Michigan leads the crystal ball with 80% of the picks, including the last six.
