Delano Hill to Seahawks in 3rd round (#95 overall)

Safety Delano Hill was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the 3rd round (#95 overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

I’m a little surprised that Hill went this high after not having an extremely productive career at Michigan, but I think the Seahawks are a good fit for him, because he’ll play strong safety in a defense that plays a lot of Cover 3. He’s also a solid tackler.

Also, I don’t hate the Seahawks, so at least I won’t have to swallow hatred in order to root for him, like I’ll have to do with the Browns and Cowboys.

Jourdan Lewis to Cowboys in 3rd round (#92 overall)

Jourdan Lewis was drafted in the 3rd round (#92 overall) by the Dallas Cowboys.

Lewis had a 1st or 2nd round grade in a lot of places, but off-the-field troubles (a.k.a. a domestic violence charge) forced him to drop some. I still don’t like the Cowboys, but with Charlton and now Lewis, they’re becoming more tolerable. From a talent standpoint, Lewis was a favorite of mine when he was in Ann Arbor.

Chris Wormley to Ravens in 3rd round (#74 overall)

The Baltimore Ravens picked Chris Wormley at #74 overall in the 3rd round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Wormley was coached by Jim Harbaugh in college and will be coached by John Harbaugh in the NFL. This is a great pick for the Ravens, getting a guy who was thought of by some as a late 1st rounder or most likely a 2nd round guy.

Jabrill Peppers to Browns in 1st round (#25 overall)

Jabrill Peppers did indeed go in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, even though he had a “dilute sample” at the Combine. He went #25 overall to the Cleveland Browns.

It’s a great pick for the Browns, who have multiple needs and can use Peppers in several ways. However, I hate the Browns. They are always terrible, they make poor decisions, and they have ugly uniforms. I will have a hard time rooting for them, but I guess I’ll cheer for him to have some individual success.
