Nightly Roundup: December 14, 2019

Ben Bredeson

Ben Bredeson is a 2nd Team All-American, according to the Walter Camp team (LINK). I generally do not put a ton of stock in post-season awards for linemen, because it’s impossible to pay that much attention to the “big uglies” up front on a national scale. For the most part, I think voters just look around at solid offensive lines and find guys who have been starting for a long time.

Dylan McCaffrey’s dad, Ed, has been named the head coach at Northern Colorado. This is more just an interesting note than anything. Dylan is obviously at Michigan, and the youngest McCaffrey brother, Luke, is at Nebraska.
