2020 Recruiting Update: December 9, 2019

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2020

Elijah Gaines – S – Alexandria (VA) Episcopal: Gaines decommitted from Penn State. He’s a 6’2″, 193 lb. player who’s a 3-star, the #36 safety, and #511 overall. Gaines also has offers from North Carolina, Notre Dame, and Virginia Tech, among others. Gaines was initially scheduled to take an official visit to Ann Arbor for the Ohio State game, but that visit was canceled after he committed to PSU in September.

2020 Recruiting Update: December 4, 2019

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2020

Van Fillinger – DE – Draper (UT) Corner Canyon: Fillinger decommitted from Texas immediately after they fired defensive coordinator Todd Orlando. He’s a 4-star, the #13 strongside end, and #285 overall. He could very well grow into a defensive tackle, which is something Michigan needs, but the home-state Utes appear to be his likeliest destination.

Mookie Cooper – WR – St. Louis (MO) Trinity Catholic: Cooper decommitted from Texas. He’s a 5’11”, 178-pounder with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Illinois, and Texas, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #12 wide receiver, and #66 overall.

John Copenhaver – TE – Roswell (GA) Roswell: Copenhaver is a 6’3″, 210 lb. prospect with offers from Boston College, Florida, and South Carolina, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #10 tight end, and #453 overall. The crystal ball is 100% in favor of South Carolina right now.
