National Championship Game Prediction: Michigan vs. Villanova

Did you know Jim Croce went to Villanova?

I don’t talk about Michigan basketball much ’round these parts, but in case you haven’t heard, the national championship game is taking place tonight. And Michigan is in it.

Unfortunately, Villanova is also in it, and they’re pretty good.

I don’t have much time to write at the moment, but I think it’s going to take Michigan some good luck to win this game. They hit 58% of their threes against Texas A&M on the way to 99 points, and it will take a ridiculous shooting night for Michigan to pull out the win. On the flip side, they’re holding opponents to 24% on three-pointers, and they’ll need to do something similar to Villanova in order to make it happen.

Villanova is the better team by most measurements, but Michigan has a chance.

My heart says Michigan wins, but my head says it will be Villanova, 76-68.

What are your predictions?
