Players are listed in order of remaining eligibility. With 79 scholarships allotted, Michigan is now under its scholarship limit. As for the 2019 recruiting class, it’s more than full right now and there will have to be some more attrition in order to fit everyone. Meanwhile, 11 seniors are scheduled to graduate, so the 2019 class should have at least 17 players.

Assuming no RS Seniors return, would put SC at 61; meaning a 2018 class size of about 24.
But if Mone, JBB & Winovich return; who are the only RS Seniors I can see returning; that puts class at 21ish.
With current commits of 16, means room for more than a few yet. 5 to 8ish.

    But who knows………INTJohn

I think Furbush and Watson are key back-ups that should be welcomed back to the team if they choose to.

On a side note regarding PWO commit Kyle Grady, San Diego Point Loma HS: https://247sports.com/player/kyle-grady-46048307
Will this young man be groomed to replace Garret Moore?

    I’m guessing yes?………..INTJohn

Evidently you’ve not done any research regarding Garret Moores who at the age of 22 is listed as 6’3″ (same height as Grady who is still in high school) and Moores is listed at 198lbs; only 13lbs more than Grady who I’ll repeat is still in high school and has yet to experience any college level FBS S & C………..
Harbs offered him as a PWO for a reason (and lets not forget that a freshman PWO at QB as a 5th yr Sr QB’d Michigan to its only NC in the last 70ish years)
My question still stands if anyone has an informed opinion or info.
        Thanx………..INTJohn

I can only see two RS seniors not being asked back, and I can see two underclassmen looking at the depth chart and leaving because of it.

This is why I’m excited for the future. 11 players in their last year of eligibility, 5 potential starters, 3 easily replaced, Kinnel will be difficult at this point solely because of a lack of bodies, and Chase will be a little more difficult because he was a monster this year.

True junior class is full of meaningful contributors after their sophomore seasons.

    It’s going to be fun.

Ja’Raymond Hall to the Chips. I continue to hear not great reports on Grant Newsome. This potentially puts us at 13 scholarship linemen, which is 2 down if you’re me, 5 down if you’re … ??? … can’t remember and 7 if you’re Lanky.

    In any case, not enough.

But if that count holds, and I hope it doesn’t to the tune of Newsome, Thunder has yet to add in big German kid, whose name I don’t have down yet. We’re at 86 with options on 5th year guys and maybe a kid or two who can’t see it happening.

I’d like to see two more offensive linemen and at least one real DT, although I was told by an occasionally reliable guy that big German kid is thought to be a possible 3 tech. I’m not so sure on that one.

How come Wangler gets a darker blue than the other redshirt seniors. You gotta target on my boys back?

Or is my monitor just goofy?

As an aside, I’ll be at a DLS grad party in a couple weeks. It should be interesting to hear the DLS faithful’s opinions about Tru Wilson and his chances.

Interesting, Wangler and Grant Newsome both have a darker hue on my monitors, maybe more lavender too.

Even after I refresh or change screens.
