DECOMMITMENT
Kalil Branham – WR – Columbus (OH) Northland: Branham decommitted from Michigan (LINK).
Marcellus Moore – RB – Plainfield (IL) North: Moore is a 5’8″, 165 lb. prospect with offers from Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, and Ole Miss, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #54 running back, and #723 overall. He claims a 4.29 forty, a 34″ vertical, and a 10.31 in the 100 meters. Please watch his highlight video and think about Josh Gattis’s #speedinspace mantra:
Sawyer Racanelli – LB – Brush Prairie (WA) Hockinson: Racanelli is a 6’3″, 200-pounder with offers from Cal, Oregon State, and UCLA. Shortly after he got offered by Michigan, the Washington Huskies jumped in with an offer, which immediately turned into a crystal ball pick coming in for the Huskies. He’s a 3-star, the #27 athlete, and #348 overall. I imagine he’ll probably end up in Seattle, but he’s an intriguing WR/LB/S combo.
Hit the jump for many more bits and pieces.
OFF THE BOARD
Fred Davis II – CB – Jacksonville (FL) Trinity: Davis committed to Clemson. He’s a borderline 5-star as the #33 overall prospect in the 2020 class, and he joins the #1 overall safety in the class, R.J. Mickens. The rich get richer.
Dontae Manning – CB – Kansas City (MO) Raytown: Manning, who is #180 overall, committed to Oklahoma.
Jadon Thompson – WR – Chicago (IL) Marist: Thompson committed to Illinois, which is a big get for the Illini. He’s a 4-star, the #55 wide receiver, and #303 overall.
Devell Washington – WR – Bay City (MI) Central: Washington posted this…
I’d like to thank all of the coaches that recruited me from some of the top universities in the country. It’s humbling that you believed in me as a student-athlete. That said, here are my top 5 schools (no order). Recruitment is still OPEN ??#GodsPlan

MISCELLANEY

Marcellus Moore. Speedy 5’8″ guys who are always running away from people always make me think of Warrick Dunn. Which would be fine with me.

Dunn was a whole lot of fun to watch, and he was dynamite in video games, too.

I think I like Blame Corum a little better than Moore. Bigger, stronger, every bit as twitchy … maybe more so.
When you check out his film, take note of the size of the kids on the sideline. It’s no wonder nobody wants to play those guys.

I know he is not listed here, but it is looking increasingly like 2020 QB J.D. Johnson is going with Michigan:
