DECOMMITMENT

Kalil Branham – WR – Columbus (OH) Northland: Branham decommitted from Michigan (LINK).

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2020

Marcellus Moore – RB – Plainfield (IL) North: Moore is a 5’8″, 165 lb. prospect with offers from Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, and Ole Miss, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #54 running back, and #723 overall. He claims a 4.29 forty, a 34″ vertical, and a 10.31 in the 100 meters. Please watch his highlight video and think about Josh Gattis’s #speedinspace mantra:

Sawyer Racanelli – LB – Brush Prairie (WA) Hockinson: Racanelli is a 6’3″, 200-pounder with offers from Cal, Oregon State, and UCLA. Shortly after he got offered by Michigan, the Washington Huskies jumped in with an offer, which immediately turned into a crystal ball pick coming in for the Huskies. He’s a 3-star, the #27 athlete, and #348 overall. I imagine he’ll probably end up in Seattle, but he’s an intriguing WR/LB/S combo.

Hit the jump for many more bits and pieces.

OFF THE BOARD

Fred Davis II – CB – Jacksonville (FL) Trinity: Davis committed to Clemson. He’s a borderline 5-star as the #33 overall prospect in the 2020 class, and he joins the #1 overall safety in the class, R.J. Mickens. The rich get richer.

Dontae Manning – CB – Kansas City (MO) Raytown: Manning, who is #180 overall, committed to Oklahoma.

Jadon Thompson – WR – Chicago (IL) Marist: Thompson committed to Illinois, which is a big get for the Illini. He’s a 4-star, the #55 wide receiver, and #303 overall.

Devell Washington – WR – Bay City (MI) Central: Washington posted this…

…just before committing to West Virginia.

MISCELLANEY

Bryan Bresee – DE – Damascus (MD) Damascus: Bresee set a commitment date for April 23. He has visited Michigan in the past, but the Wolverines won’t be the choice. Right now Clemson is the overall crystal ball leader. This is a big deal, since Bresee is the #1 recruiting the country for 2021.

Sam Adams II – RB – Sammamish (WA) Eastside Catholic: Adams named Michigan to his top fifteen. He’s a 4-star, the #13 running back, and #144 overall, along with being the son of former NFL defensive tackle Sam Adams.

Maliq Carr – TE – Oak Park (MI) Oak Park: Carr (4-star, #8 TE, #326 overall) announced that he will be publicizing his choice on October 11:

Blake Corum – RB – Baltimore (MD) St. Frances: Corum announced that he will be committing soon, and there are some who think his choice will be Michigan:

Johnquai Lewis – WR Hialeah (FL) Champagnat Catholic: Lewis (3-star, #138 WR, #769 overall) named Michigan to his top ten:

Jordan Morant – S – Oradell (NJ) Bergen Catholic: Morant (4-star, #8 safety, #112 overall) named Michigan to his top ten:

Antwaun Powell – DE – Portsmouth (VA) I.C. Norcom: Powell (4-star, #12 WDE, #247 overall) named Michigan to his top eight:

Kobe Pryor – RB – Cedartown (GA) Cedartown: Pryor (3-star, #55 RB, #727 overall) named Michigan to his top ten:

Ian Stewart – LB – Gibraltar (MI) Carlson: Stewart (3-star, #99 WR, #543 overall) left Michigan out of his top seven:

John Young – OT – Louisville (KY) Christian: Young (4-star, #28 OT, #306 overall) will be announcing his decision on April 29:

Marcellus Moore. Speedy 5’8″ guys who are always running away from people always make me think of Warrick Dunn. Which would be fine with me.

Dunn was a whole lot of fun to watch, and he was dynamite in video games, too.

I think I like Blame Corum a little better than Moore. Bigger, stronger, every bit as twitchy … maybe more so.

When you check out his film, take note of the size of the kids on the sideline. It’s no wonder nobody wants to play those guys.

I know he is not listed here, but it is looking increasingly like 2020 QB J.D. Johnson is going with Michigan:
