Clemons committed to Michigan in December, and he was a huge get for the Wolverines in more ways than one. Not only is he large – his listed height of 6’3″ seems low – but he brings some much needed offensive skill talent to a receiver group that is likely to lose a good chunk of talent after this season.

With the possibility that Ronnie Bell, Mike Sainristil, and Cornelius Johnson could all move on after 2022, Michigan will need some younger guys to step up in 2023. There are some players who have already made some big plays – such as A.J. Henning and Andrel Anthony – but Clemons could be a size and speed mismatch with his height and reported 4.3 forty time. Clemons also has a large catch radius and the ability to make some acrobatic, one-handed snags. I don’t think he will get targeted in volume this season, but he will get a chance to adjust to the speed of the college game, and I would expect him to make a nice impact as a sophomore.

Prediction: Backup wide receiver
