He’s a 4-star, the #2 offensive tackle, and #29 overall to 247 Sports. He attends the same high school that former Michigan running back commit Tim Baldwin attended when he committed to the Wolverines.
Monroe Freeling – OT – Mount Pleasant (NC) Oceanside Collegiate: Freeling is a 6’6″, 260-pounder with offers from Georgia, Notre Dame, Oregon, and Penn State, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #5 offensive tackle, and #63 overall to 247.

Caleb Herring – LB – Murfreesboro (TN) Riverdale: Herring is a 6’5″, 210 lb. prospect with offers from Kentucky, South Carolina, and Tennessee, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #4 outside linebacker, and #97 overall on 247 Sports. Michigan also offered his older brother, 2022 linebacker Elijah Herring.
T.J. Shanahan – OG – Orlando (FL) Timber Creek: Shanahan is a 6’4″, 300 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and USC, among others.
Sylvester Smith – S – Munford (AL) Munford: Smith is a 6’2″, 193-pounder with offers from Georgia, Miami, Oklahoma, and Penn State, among others.
Alex “Sonny” Styles – LB – Pickerington (OH) Central: Styles is a 6’4″, 205-pounder with offers from Indiana, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Toledo. Styles plays safety in high school, but I am pretty sure he will be a linebacker when all is said and done, not only because of his size but also because of a little lack of fluidity and change of direction. He’s still a very good prospect, though.
