Kainoa Winston and Sherrone Moore

I recently put up commitment posts for the following players:

  • RB Donovan Johnson (LINK)
  • RB Jasper Parker (LINK)
  • WR Jacob Washington (LINK)
  • OL Kaden Strayhorn (LINK)
  • DE Julius Holly (LINK)
  • LB Chase Taylor (LINK)
  • S Kainoa Winston (LINK)

Las Vegas (NV) Bishop Gorman offensive guard Seuseu Alofaituli (4-star, #3 IOL, #70 overall) committed to Miami. He had visited Michigan officially at the beginning of June and was a teammate of incoming freshman running back Micah Ka’apana.

Princeton (NJ) Hun School linebacker Kamar Archie (4-star, #32 LB, #286 overall) committed to Rutgers. He had visited Michigan several times and took an official to Ann Arbor in late June. There were rumors long ago that Michigan might be “too big of a stage” for his liking, so perhaps that was an important factor in his decision.

Hit the jump for more.

Winston Salem (NC) Mount Tabor safety JaDon Blair (4-star, #13 safety, and #160 overall) committed to Notre Dame. He visited Michigan officially in mid-June, but the leader all along seemed to be the Fighting Irish.

Philadelphia (PA) St. Joseph’s defensive tackle Maxwell Roy (4-star, #26 DL, #229 overall) committed to Ohio State. He had visited Michigan officially in June

Indianapolis (IN) Warren Central defensive end Damien Shanklin (4-star, #10 edge, #110 overall) committed to LSU. He visited Michigan a few times, but the coaching changes along the defensive line seemed to have an effect on his interest.

Brookline (MA) Dexter offensive guard Hardy Watts (4-star, #12 IOL, #222 overall) committed to Wisconsin. He had had some predictions to Michigan after taking an official to Michigan in late June, but then the pendulum swung back in Wisconsin’s favor over the past week or so. The Badgers had a great run at offensive line from Barry Alvarez through Paul Chryst, but I’m not sure how well that NFL pipeline is going to continue under second-year head coach Luke Fickell.
