HIGH SCHOOL
Runyan, the son of former Michigan star tackle Jon Runyan, attended Philadelphia (NJ) St. Joseph’s. He only listed one offer on his recruiting pages, and that was from the Michigan Wolverines. His final ranking came in as a 3-star, the #124 offensive tackle, and #1138 overall. I gave him a final TTB Rating of 73 (LINK). From his commitment post:

Overall, I would have no problem playing Runyan at offensive tackle if he adds a little bit of length. He has the foot speed and coordination to be a blind side tackle if necessary. He may have to move inside to guard if he doesn’t hit that growth spurt. So much depends on size that it’s tough to project him far down the road, but based on his genes, athleticism, and technique, I think he could be a very good college player.

Edward Warinner, Wolverine

Edward Warinner (#31, image via Twitter)

This is just what Michigan fans like me wanted: one more opportunity to correct the spelling of “Warinner.”

Michigan State linebacker Edward Warinner has transferred to Michigan, where he is already enrolled in classes. He is the son of Michigan offensive line coach Ed Warinner, who has been with the program since the beginning of the 2018 season. It’s not clear right now whether he will be a scholarship player, which he was at MSU, or a walk-on. Michigan did not offer him a scholarship coming out of high school in 2018.

2021 Recruiting Update: January 13, 2019

Kaden Prather (image via 247 Sports)

Please consider contributing to TTB via Amazon purchases:

Just a reminder on the 2021 class as the 2020 class starts to come to a close: Michigan currently holds commitments from…

  • QB J.J. McCarthy
  • OT Giovanni El-Hadi

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2021

Kaden Prather – WR – Germantown (MD) Northwest: Prather is a 6’3″, 210-pounder with offers from Alabama, Maryland, Ohio State, and Penn State, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #49 wide receiver, and #301 overall. How are you the #49 wide receiver but still #301 overall? So roughly 1 out of 6 of the best players in the country play wide receiver? Hmmm… Anyway, Prather claims a 4.6 forty, a 4.56 shuttle, and a 29.7″ vertical.
