Michigan hires Hawaii DC Kevin Lempa as senior defensive analyst

Lempa, who worked with Don Brown at Boston College, has left a Hawaii coaching gig to be an analyst with the Wolverines.

Nice thing about analysts is there is no restriction on them*. Don Brown clearly values his insights.

*AFAIK. Obviously there is a budget but it’s not clear if/how Lempa takes someone elses spot or is just an addition.

No, it’s not exactly clear because there can be any number of spots. However, former senior defensive analyst Dave Adolph passed away, and Michigan also lost Rick Finotti as a defensive analyst. So I would assume Lempa is replacing Adolph, but he’s probably taking the spot of one of those two guys.
