The only way Green will live up to expectations is if Michigan's offensive line (or offense in general) can get to where it used to be during the Lloyd Carr years. He's not a guy who can create for himself, so he needs holes at the first level so he can wear down linebackers and defensive backs.
Do I think he can? Absolutely. He could easily be a 1,500-yard rusher if he's the bell cow.
Will he? No, I don't believe so. I think Ty Isaac is a better runner and overall athlete. I expect Isaac to get the most carries.
BTW, he is not the offensive player that I previously heard is leaving, although I had heard unconfirmed rumblings about him before. The other name is yet to come out.
Interesting…I have read that this is more academic (not taking finals) than football related. So another player could be leaving as well? Have you any insight to any more incoming players? I think 2 more spots are available as of now but I could be off.
That is what I read as well but was wondering if you heard anything different. I'm not a big Sam Webb fan but he does have some scoops every once in a while.
