Former Wolverine Brandon Peters has been named the starter at Illinois (LINK).
If you’re into the revolving door that is Michigan football coverage, Brandon Brown is out at The Wolverine (gone to something called “Wolverine Digest”) and E.J. Holland is in at The Wolverine. I think Brandon Brown started at MGoBlog before migrating to Rivals, but I might have missed a step in there.

“started at MGoBlog”
Someone that went somewhere started at MGoBlog? It must have been way in the past. Because as it is now, that place is strange. Most commenters there are posers. They act like they have a corner on everything. And if you don’t agree with them they get allll over you. Very strange. It’s just no fun to go there. And the one guy that’s supposed to be an insider there is always wrong. I saw him attack someone because he said James Hudson left Michigan because he didn’t like being switched from defense to offense. The insider said there was some other reason. But all the back-and-forth this past week with Harbaugh/Fickell was about Hudson leaving Michigan because he didn’t like being switched from defense to offense. So that insider was wrong. Then there was the big explosion in comments when it turned out that insider was wrong about Brandon Peters place in the depth chart. That one seemed to go on for days. And it still crops up sometimes Then he said Brandon Peters was probably going to transfer to Purdue because his sister plays volleyball there. But as it turned out, Brandon Peters didn’t even visit Purdue.
My point is, I don’t know where MGoBlog gets this ominous reputation from. It must be from something that it use to be, not what it is now. It’s supposed to be some font of insider information. But I don’t think I’ve ever read any inside information there. Except, I just remembered, a commenter there that has Teddy Roosevelt as his picture, FatGuy something, said he knew why Kevin Wilson was let go from Indiana. He said it was because he kept getting DUI’s, and the school couldn’t do anything anymore legally for him. Maybe he was right. But who knows, maybe he was wrong too.
Anyway, end of rant about the disappointing MGoBlog.

The way it stands now, I don’t have reason to believe that insider. I don’t see anything in his track record that carries enough weight to make me not believe what both Jim Harbaugh and Luke Fickell are saying about it.
