Franz Wagner, Moe’s little brother, committed to and signed with Michigan (LINK).

The Athletic previews Georgia Tech, a team I find very interesting this year as they transition out of Paul Johnson’s flexbone offense (LINK).

Sad morning. I want aware that Paul Johnson has stepped down. I would always stop and watch Georgia Tech. There was nobody like them.
I met an attorney years ago from a yellow jacket family of engineers who had started at Georgia Tech and had completed his degree with eligibility left. He was then accepted to Georgia’s law school and was offered a scholarship. He claimed to have gone to the first practice, but the uniform made him sick. So he never went back. Might be true. Pretty easy for me to understand. I haven’t owned a green article of clothing since I was maybe 10.
I loved Jared Lorenzen. It made me laugh when he scrambled.

Yeah, I remember posting an article about Paul Johnson’s retirement when it happened, but I’m surprised more hasn’t been said about it. Georgia Tech isn’t a powerhouse or anything, but they are a Power 5 school. I saw Paul Johnson at a clinic several years ago, and he was probably the most “boring” big-time coach I’ve come across. No jokes, no stories, etc., just straight-up technique, X’s-and-O’s type of stuff. Not that there’s anything wrong with it, but he was all business. I guess maybe that’s why he worked well at a service academy.
