The month of July is apparently a terrible time to miss a week of recruiting updates for the current class, because over 40 Michigan targets pledged to schools over the past two weeks. To break it up a little bit, I parceled the news into two separate posts: today’s offensive recruiting update and a defensive update coming tomorrow morning.
Kolaj “Tut” Cobbins – OLB – Destrehan (LA) Destrehan: Cobbins is a 6’3″, 200 lb. prospect with offers from Florida State, Ole Miss, and Purdue, among others. As a sophomore in 2021, he made 60 tackles, 12 sacks, 8 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries. He’s a teammate of Jai Eugene, Jr.
Aeryn Hampton – WR – Daingerfield (TX) Daingerfield: Hampton, who has been committed to Texas since mid-February, also has offers from Baylor, TCU, and Texas Tech, among others. He’s a speedy wide receiver and cornerback who caught 44 passes for 1,029 yards and 12 touchdowns; ran 22 times for 300 yards and 6 touchdowns; and made 9 interceptions with 5 INT return touchdowns.
