Maliq Carr – WR – Oak Park (MI) Oak Park: Carr is a 6’4″, 230-pounder with offers from Georgia, LSU, Michigan, and Purdue, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #5 tight end, and #193 overall. His crystal ball is 75% for Purdue, where he has also been given a chance to play basketball, and 25% for Michigan. Purdue also wants him as a wide receiver, and while Michigan has supposedly warmed up to that idea, they initially wanted him as a tight end-type substance.

Theo Johnson – TE – Windsor (Ontario) Holy Names: Johnson is a 6’6″, 240 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, and Penn State, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #3 tight end, and #95 overall. His crystal balls are 50% for Penn State and 50% cloudy. UPDATE: Johnson is no longer visiting this week but will be in town for the MSU game.

Braiden McGregor – DE – Port Huron (MI) Northern: McGregor is committed to Michigan (LINK).

Makari Paige – S – West Bloomfield (MI) West Bloomfield: Paige is committed to Michigan (LINK).

Brenden Rice – WR – Chandler (AZ) Hamilton: Rice is a 6’2″, 204 lb. prospect with offers from Arizona State, Michigan, Oregon, and UCLA, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #69 wide receiver, and #396 overall. He’s the biological son of NFL Hall of Famer Jerry Rice. His crystal ball is 100% for Michigan.

Beau Brade – S – Clarksville (MD) River Hill: Brade is a 6’0″, 180 lb. prospect who committed to Maryland on June 13; he also has offers from Michigan and Pitt, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #56 safety, and #957 overall. This was supposed to be an official visit, but his commitment to the Terrapins may call off the visit. UPDATE: Brade is not visiting.

Jay Brunelle – WR – Worcester (MA) St. John’s: Brunelle is a 6’1″, 200 lb. prospect with offers from Boston College, Michigan, Notre Dame, and UCLA, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #136 wide receiver, and #820 overall. He’s a teammate of Eamonn Dennis (see below). This is an official visit.

Blake Corum – RB – Baltimore (MD) St. Frances: Corum is a 5’9″, 180-pounder with offers from LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, and USC, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #17 running back, and #201 overall. Three teammates are committed to Michigan (Nikhai Hill-Green, Micah Mazzccua, and Osman Savage), and Corum’s crystal ball picks are all for Michigan.

Eamonn Dennis – RB – Worcester (MA) St. John’s: Dennis is a 5’10”, 173 lb. prospect with offers from Duke, Michigan, and Syracuse, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #33 athlete, and #482 overall. Michigan is looking at him as a potential running back/slot receiver combo. This is an official visit.

Elijah Gaines – CB – Alexandria (VA) Episcopal: Gaines is a 6’3″, 200 lb. prospect with offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, and Penn State, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #50 athlete, and #506 overall. Episcopal is where Michigan defensive end Luiji Vilain spent the end of his high school career after moving from Canada.

ADDED TO THE BOARD: 2020

Sam Brown – WR – Bloomingdale (GA) New Hampstead: Brown is a 6’1″, 185 lb. prospect with offers from Colorado, Kentucky, and Tennessee, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #173 wide receiver, and #1092 overall. He claims a 4.45 forty, a 4.66 shuttle, and a 38″ vertical.

Collin Gamble – CB – Argyle (TX) Liberty Christian: Gamble is a 5’10”, 175-pounder with offers from Houston, Northwestern, and Texas Tech, among others. He’s a 3-star, the #99 cornerback, and #1191 overall.

Brenden Rice – WR – Chandler (AZ) Hamilton: Rice is a 6’3″, 208 lb. prospect with offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, Texas A&M, and UCLA, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #57 wide receiver, and #331 overall. Perhaps most significantly is this: he’s the son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice. I don’t think there’s any danger of the younger Rice following his dad’s legacy at Mississippi Valley State.
