Copperas Cove (TX) Copperas Cove offensive tackle Michael Uini poses for a very relevant picture
The month of July is apparently a terrible time to miss a week of recruiting updates for the current class, because over 40 Michigan targets pledged to schools over the past two weeks. To break it up a little bit, I parceled the news into two separate posts: today’s offensive recruiting update and a defensive update coming tomorrow morning.

Devon Baxter – DE – Brandywine (MD) Gwynn Park: Baxter is a 6’6″, 225-pounder with offers from Maryland, Michigan, Penn State, Rutgers, and Virginia Tech, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #27 edge, and #387 overall.
Jeremiah Beasley – LB – Belleville (MI) Belleville: Beasley is a 6’1″, 210 lb. prospect with offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Tennessee, and others. He’s a 4-star, the #28 linebacker, and #321 overall. Right now there are four crystal balls for Michigan and four for MSU. He’s the younger brother of Maliq Carr, a tight end for Michigan State.
Jadyn Davis – QB – Charlotte (NC) Providence Day: Davis is committed to Michigan (LINK). This is his official visit.
Darrion Dupree – RB – Chicago (IL) Mount Carmel: Dupree is a 5’10”, 190 lb. back with offers from Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, and Wisconsin, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #32 running back, and #367 overall. With Jordan Marshall already in the fold and top-50 prospect Taylor Tatum coming in for an official visit next week – not to mention Micah Kaapana visiting last week – it’s unclear how Michigan is going to handle taking a second back in the class, or perhaps even a third. This is an official visit for Dupree. UPDATE: Dupree is no longer planning to visit.
Davison Igbinosun – CB – Ole Miss: Igbinosun is a 6’2″, 185 lb. prospect who will be a sophomore in 2023. He was a 4-star, the #21 cornerback, and #162 overall in the class of 2022. He played this past season at Ole Miss – where former Michigan assistant Chris Partridge was the co-defensive coordinator – and made 36 tackles with 5 pass breakups. With Michigan losing Gemon Green and D.J. Turner II to the NFL, the team has an open spot at corner across from Will Johnson.

Devontae Armstrong – OT – Lakewood (OH) St. Edward: Armstrong is a 6’5″, 288-pounder with offers from the same schools as his twin brother, Deontae. He’s a 3-star, the #27 offensive tackle, and #357 overall.
Max Anderson – OT – Frisco (TX) Reedy: Anderson is a 6’5″, 300 lb. prospect with offers from Alabama, LSU, Penn State, and Texas A&M, among others. He’s a 4-star, the #8 offensive tackle, and #182 overall.

Brandon Davis-Swain – DE – West Bloomfield (MI) West Bloomfield: Davis-Swain is a 6’4″, 240 lb. edge player who decommitted from Notre Dame. He’s a 4-star, the #12 defensive lineman, and #91 overall in the 2024 class. Iowa, Ole Miss, Penn State, and USC are some of the other schools that have offered. Davis-Swain had a semi-secret visit to Michigan this off-season, and he’s a teammate of 2023 Michigan commits Amir Herring and Semaj Morgan.
