Isaiah Bell was only a 3 star but at the All America Game, eh? Approaching 250lbs I'd say he's no longer a Safety/LB tweener, though after sitting for 2 years now I guess he's not really an anything. Was he hurt last year or what? We had a nickel back slot after all.

I believe Bell was a 4-star to ESPN, which partners with Under Armour for the game. So that might explain his invitation – ESPN promoting guys that they like.
AFAIK, Bell was healthy last year. And he was playing MLB all last year, too. He just wasn't good enough to get on the field, and there were rumors that he was in the doghouse for his attitude/work ethic.

Straight away I thought I knew what that implies, but it seems like more than a handful of guys weren't properly motivated by RR's practices and workouts to put it delicately. I wonder if he'll be in Hokes doghouse or not. Maybe it won't matter.

There did seem to be a lot of guys in Rodriguez's doghouse – Austin White, Tate Forcier, Michael Cox, Brandon Minor, Justin Turner, Carson Butler, etc. I know Carr had a doghouse, too (Pierre Woods, Adrian Arrington, etc.), but the Rodriguez doghouse seemed to house more dogs.
Maybe that's more a product of losing (bad teams make players/coaches unhappy) than of Rodriguez himself. After all, it would be harder to talk back to Lloyd Carr – an older guy with a national championship under his belt – than it would to Rich Rodriguez, a younger guy with a questionable reputation and a shorter/weaker track record.

Wasn't Carson Butler in Carr's doghouse as well as RR's?

Agreed. That second "n" is way too much. Glen Steele only used one "n" and he turned out to be awesome.

Magnus, you can plug Shane Morris into the 2013 slot as he committed to play in the UA game next year.

Yeah, I saw that Morris accepted an invite to play in the game, but I hadn't got around to inserting it yet. I might as well plug him in there.

Isn't Bosch also playing in the UA game?

From what I understand, Bosch is already committed to play in the Semper Fi game and doesn't want to (or can't) renege.

Beating a dead horse here, but just shows how bad RR's recruiting was vis-a-vis Hoke:
2011 – none
2010 – only Devin Gardner since Dorsey didn't even make it to campus
and significantly fewer dudes in 2008 and 2009.

Magnus I always thought Washington should have stayed at guard instead of defense. I wondered a lot this season what he and Taylor could have done side by side. What do you think?

Calvin Anderson chooses Texas, like most thought he would.
