COMMITMENTS

Belleville (MI) Belleville linebacker Jeremiah Beasley committed to Michigan (LINK).

Deerfield Beach (FL) Deerfield Beach defensive end Elias Rudolph committed to Michigan (LINK).

OFF THE BOARD

Hit the jump for more.

Tampa (FL) Catholic cornerback Jameer Grimsley (4-star, #19 CB, #215 overall) committed to Alabama. He took an official visit to Michigan and the Wolverines made his top three, along with the Crimson Tide and Florida State. The ‘Bama pick was actually a bit of a surprise, though, because he was expected by many to pick FSU.

Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy safety Jordon Johnson-Rubell (4-star, #11 safety, #133 overall) committed to Texas. He also had taken an official visit to Ann Arbor.

Chicago (IL) Kenwood defensive end Marquise Lightfoot (4-star, #6 edge, #67 overall) committed to Miami. Michigan seemed to have a good shot early, and the Wolverines usually do well in Illinois. But then Ohio State surged near the top, and that was followed by Miami’s NIL plan winning him over.

Cincinnati (OH) Withrow cornerback Terhyon Nichols (4-star, #22 CB, #270 overall) committed to Kentucky. He also took an official to Michigan, and he seemed like Michigan’s #2 target at the corner position (after Bryce West committed to Ohio State) behind Aaron Scott.

Landisville (PA) Hempfield defensive tackle Deyvid Palepale (3-star, #64 DL, #657 overall) committed to USC. Michigan was considered his leader at one point and he had multiple crystal balls in place to play for the Wolverines.

Chicago (IL) St. Ignatius defensive tackle Justin Scott (5-star, #3 DL, #14 overall) committed to Ohio State. He said in an interview after his commitment that Michigan was going to be the pick until he made the visit to Columbus.
